Since kittens have different nutritional requirement than adult cats, we decided it was time to launch a kitten food recipe. When we started the journey of exploring DIY cat food, we thought we’d be able to learn how to formulate fully balanced diets for kitties. After nearly a year of research, we finally accepted the fact that our brains just don’t work in this manner.
Because of this, we now partner with pet food formulators who create cat recipes for us to share with you. The owner of The Natural Canine Kitchen, Emma Rutherford, specializes in formulating balanced meals and even creates them for commercial pet food companies. She was gracious enough to give us this recipe for growing kittens and it was a raging success!

In the instance that your kitten or cat prefers a pate style food you can mix these ingredients in a blender or food processor. If you are not a fan of feeding raw food, you can also lightly cook this recipe before putting in the bone meal.
