General Dental Health
If your cat has already experienced a dental issue, you know how important it is to do what you can to keep the mouth healthy moving forward. Being proactive with your cat’s dental health is important to avoid future health issues.
Periodontitis
Periodontal disease causes serious pain, and can also result in abscesses, infections, tooth loss, and bone loss. Factors contributing to periodontitis include age, diet, breed, genetics and dental care.
Stomatitis
Stomatitis in cats is progressive and very painful. Symptoms include bad breath, loss of appetite, very inflamed gums and excessive drooling. A full tooth extraction is typically the recommendation for severe stomatitis, however, if done incorrectly it will not resolve the ailment. There are ways to combat the inflammation and help manage this properly through diet and natural remedies.
